CAR RAID

An extraordinary adventure, with no pressure, at your own pace,
following the footsteps of the most famous African rallies.

Participants will learn and / or improve their skills in navigating and crossing dunes whilst discovering
like many will never have the chance to. They will benefit from all the infrastructure of the rally,
as well as the security and the unique bivouac in the wilderness.

ELIGIBLE VEHICLES

  • Production or prepared,
  • Cars, SSV, trucks,
  • Car and truck crews must be of 2 persons minimum (solo, contact the organizer),
  • No specific preparation,
  • No sporting license.

FEES

Are included in the fees:

TWO-WAYS BOAT TRANSPORT of the VEHICLE registered
TWO-WAYS BOAT TRANSPORT of each PARTICIPANT registered
CUSTOMS administrative formalities.

The entry fees consist in a vehicle + an individual fees.

SECURITY MATERIAL / EQUIPMENT

Are compulsory :

GPS UNIK 2 / SENTINEL - ERTF

Participants must rent the mandatory GPS from the Organizer’s supplier (ERTF). 
Competitors will therefore all be equipped with a single model GPS, with integrated warning Sentinel and interactive horn.
GPS points will be downloaded to the GPS and speed checks will be performed.

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The various safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

IRITRACK – MARLINK

The Iritrack is a safety and communication equipment to be rented exclusively by the Organizer’s supplier (MARLINK).
It transmits real time positions of the competitors to the Race PC.

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The different safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

No sporting license is needed.

For safety reasons, other than the usual security equipment, crews must carry with them, in their vehicles, the following equipment:

  • Safety belts or 4 points harness minimum for all the crew members,
  • 1 manual powder fire extinguisher of 2kg homologated,
  • 2 external mirrors, 
  • Trailing rings at the front and at the back,
  • A laminated windshield,
  • 1 powerful horn,
  • 2 spare wheels,
  • 1 fluorescent jacket/pers, 
  • 1 towing rope (10 meters), 
  • 1 first aid kit, 
  • 1 accessible seat belt cutter, 
  • 1 foil survival blanket per person,
  • 1 jack of 10T mini + 1 key cross,
  • 2 warning triangles,
  • 1 water reserve of 3 liters /person /day,
  • 1 compressor with pressure gauge to inflate and deflate the tires.

REFUELING

  • Refueling will take place at the petrol stations indicated on the road-book.

Every person who wishes to participate in the race must imperatively do the online registration process on the TOP RIGHT of our front page : REGISTRATION 

2 STEP INSCRIPTION PROCESS

As from now, to benefit from the best offer possible on your entry 

You have to:

  • Create an account or connect to an existing account 
  • MY ACCOUNT / VEHICLES: Create a vehicle and enter the dimensions. If you do not yet have the model, simply fill the slots with “X” 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY TEAMS: Create your team 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: Create your race crew by attaching the vehicle 
  • MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: On the right: ACTION/MANAGER/MEMBER: Create the pilot and co-pilot. If you do not have all the names, fill the slot with “X”. 

Any information can be modified any time before the close of the entries. 

The fee applied will correspond to the one applicable at the time of the initial registration in race/raid category.
Once the racing vehicle(s) entered, the assistance vehicle(s) may be registered later.
Therefore, assistance will benefit from the same offer as the race registration. 

Example: registration on July 1st of a racing / raid vehicle at the preferential rate. Registration for assistance in August: the rate applied is the same as the one of the race / raid vehicles, ie "the preferential rate".

Please note: assistance must be entered in the same file as race / raid vehicle. The ALGERIA ECO RACE cannot invoice several people or entities for the same team. 

To complete and finalize the team file

All slots need to be filled in your own time.
A copy of the following documents have to be uploaded :

  • Each passport of each person valid until 31st of May 2022.
  • Each valid driving licence (back and front) corresponding to the category of vehicle entering the race. 
  • Each vehicle registration document (including the trailer).  

Each Registration File must be finalised and fully completed at the latest on 15 of August 2021, date of the entry closing.
